Ares Galaxy: There are many conflicting reviews of this application online, and for good reason. Ares Galaxy was once a powerful program that was very effective at providing a good user experience. However, the application was abandoned by its programmers and quickly lost its relevance.

Ares Vista: A slick looking application that does what it says it will do; deliver an effective file sharing experience Unfortunately, it’s what it doesn’t tell you that will agitate you the most. The application comes hidden with a nasty piece of malware, which, among other things, causes incessant pop up ads on your computer and monitors your computer usage. A solid program on its own, but bundled with the malware (called Dealio), it makes for an annoying and intrusive experience.

Ares Destiny: This program offers the most recent version of the Ares network available. Actively supported by its developers, and guaranteed to be free of any adware or malware, the program is robust, and offers one of the fastest download speeds available. The interface is very user friendly (as are most Ares versions), and the selection of downloads is simply staggering. Of course it’s not perfect, but issues are quickly addressed and, for the most part, users have been extremely satisfied with the speed, selection and security the program provides.
