The Earth has a Perfect Address
To start with, our “city,” our solar logic, is in a part of the Milky Way that many scientists call the galactic habitable zone. This zone is about 28,000 light years from the center of the galaxy and contains just the aptly concentrations of the chemical elements needed to support life. Farther out, those elements are too scarce; farther in, the locality is too perilous because of the greater abundance of potentially lethal radiation and other factors. “We live in prime real estate,” say Scientific American magazine.
